My bubbie and zaida (Rose and Frank Sandler) started our first restaurant in downtown Buffalo over 50 years ago. From there my mother and father (Anna and Stumpy Gengo) opened the quintessential New York deli on Hertel Avenue for 35 years. Since 2003 it has been my privilege to carry on the family legacy of great New York deli food. All of us at Risa's hope you enjoy your dining experience with us.
