If our restaurant were in New Delhi, Calcutta or Mumbai, it would be acclaimed among diners and food critics as among the all time great curry houses. So, in the city, we’re tops in curries. Our chefs are masters at preparing and serving sumptuous curries from meats, fowl, fish and a range of vegetables (all our meats and produce are organic and locally sourced). As for side dishes, no other establishment in San Francisco can match our from-scratch approach, or our rich, award-winning recipes. Our breads and rice dishes are perfection. India is a universe of fantastic spices and is a treasure house of very skillful blending them into the tastes we fall in love with. Historically, spices were one of the great exports from India to the western world from the 1700’s on to our 21st century. The exotic flavor tones of spices are what make India’s cuisine so unique. We also offer curry take out, order online, pick up here at our restaurant, or curry delivery to your door. The world curry is an English version of kari, meaning sauce, but curry does not, in India, generally come as an already-blended packaged powder. It is the subtle and as-fresh-as-possible delicate blending of spices such as turmeric, cardamom, ginger, coriander, nutmeg and poppy seed. Here in the foodie town of San Francisco, you’d expect to find the best curries in the country, and that is what we’re here to do every day: prepare and serve you a memorable, freshly created curry experience.
