Shrimp and Broccoli with Honey Garlic Sauce Recipe

This Shrimp and broccoli with honey garlic sauce is a quick and easy dish for any day of the week.
Shrimp & Broccoli with Honey Garlic Sauce - Ingredients
- 2 lbs of medium shrimp
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
- 2/3 cup of honey
- 1/2 cup of reduced sodium soy sauce
- 2 tsp olive or substitute olive oil cooking spray
- 1 head of broccoli
- 2 cups uncooked Brown Minute Rice
- 2 green onions (chopped)
Instructions
- Combine garlic, honey, and soy sauce and whisk together
- Place shrimp and half of the sauce in a large ziploc bag
- Close bag and and shake until all shrimp is covered in the sauce
- Place the bag of shrimp in the refrigerator and marinate for about 15 minutes
- Cover the remaining sauce and set aside
- While the shrimp is marinating cut up the head of broccoli and steam it for 6-8 minutes
- Prepare instant brown rice according to package instructions
- Chop the green onions and set aside
- Add oil or cooking spray to a large pan
- Remove shrimp from marinade and place in the pan (discard used sauce)
- Cook shrimp on med-high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side
- Pour remaining sauce over shrimp
- Add the broccoli and green onion and toss everything together
- Serve over top of the brown rice
